I love awards. Yes, I do.
One time, my colleagues and I were rehearsing our awards ceremony and testing the choreography and slides. My role was to go to the stage and pretend to win ALL the awards. It was great.
In reality, I’ve only ever won one award for my academic work on social responsibility and I haven’t stopped talking about it since. Perhaps some may think it shallow, but I honestly believe that recognition is very important – it’s motivating, and in the case of social responsibility awards, helps companies build the business case for doing more CSR work.
Now, I am entering the CSR Excellence Awards 2019, and you should too.
The closing date for free entries is March 31st.
Richard Collins, the Co-Founder of ‘CSR Accreditation’ said:
‘There are THREE chances of success for each entry in the International CSR Excellence Awards, as we present Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in every category – plus an overall winner. The CSR Excellence Awards are presented to companies that have a heart - caring companies that use their privileged position to help their colleagues, communities, customers, suppliers, the environment and the less fortunate. Caring companies can be a realistic force for good and change-for-the-better, and we recognise and reward those efforts with the CSR Excellence Awards every year.’
There are quite a few categories, from innovation, to volunteering, to supply management, to supporting the arts.. So there is space for recognition of whatever ‘good’ you’ve done as a company – and you deserve it!
Among other things, I help my clients with awards applications so if you need any help drafting yours, e-mail me on email@example.com
The ceremony will be held on July 22nd at the Royal Academy for Dramatic Art (RADA), London.
